Fermentation specialist

Qualifications:

1. Academic background in fermentation, biotechnology, analytical (bio)chemistry, (bio)chemical product development and chemical engineering.
2. 1-5 years of relevant working experience in technical, commercial and/or industrial setting
3. Analytics: at least HPLC, GC, IC & photo-spectrometry to understand process performance and product quality. Preferably also hands-on experience with NMR and MS.
4. (Bio)chemical engineering principles at hand, to come to innovative solutions
5. High affinity with microbial processes, preferably industrial fermentation experience
6. Excellent Python and/or Excel skills to harvest and visualize results
7. Setting up accurate mass balances, to evaluate process efficiency
8. Make a techno economic process analysis of OPEX and CAPEX
9. An European approved drivers license

Responsibilities:

1. Create and maintain accurate planning and experimentation
2. Ensure critical details are not overseen and numbers add up
3. Deal effectively with setbacks, get stronger from each failure
4. Be genuinely open to new ideas and feedback on content or performance
5. Collaborates extensively with the rest of the team, including tech and business dev and communicates effectively
6. Take care of the microbial, chemical and physical experiments.
7. Be willing to put in extra hours if necessary to complete tasks
8. Collaborate with our team on innovative projects at the intersection of fashion and technology.
9. Leverage your project management skills to drive successful project outcomes.
10. Apply your technical knowledge to solve complex challenges.
11. Develop and execute strategies that align with our company's mission and goals.
12. Contribute to our culture of innovation and sustainability.
