Senior Platform Engineer - Data Platform

We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong Data Engineering experience to help maintain and further develop an established data platform.

You'll act as the link between platform, data, cloud and business teams, ensuring changes are scalable, governed and understood across the wider environment.

What you'll do

• Maintain and further develop data platform infrastructure
• Manage and improveise Snowflake platform components
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions
• Develop reusable deployment patterns, configurations and standards
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform / IaC
• Investigate and resolve platform, deployment, access and integration issues
• Identify dependencies and understand the downstream impact of platform changes
• Support data delivery and data applications
• Work with Platform Engineers, Data Engineers, Architects, BI and business stakeholders
• Translate business and technical problems into practical solutions
• Contribute to data governance, security and platform standards

What we're looking for

• Senior-level Platform Engineering experience
• Strong Snowflake experience
• Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions
• Good SQL knowledge
• Experience working with data platforms and infrastructure
• Understanding of data governance and data cataloguing
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and understand wider platform impact
• Azure experience preferred; AWS also considered
• ADF, Databricks, Azure Storage or Power BI experience is advantageous
