Description
Introduction to the role
2026 has been a year of exploration for AI in HR. We now have guidelines in place, along with a working process to collect, assess and prioritize use cases. HR already uses tools such as Copilot, and several pilots are running. The next step is to move from exploration to acceleration.
We are looking for a Program Manager to lead the AI in HR program. You will oversee the full program and steer a mix of internal and external resources. You will make sure AI initiatives support the HR strategy, are well governed, and deliver measurable value for the business and for employees.
Scope
- AI for HR: The role covers AI that changes people processes and the way HR works. Change management, communication and training are aimed at the HR community.
- Out of scope: AI upskilling for the wider company is owned by Learning. The broader impact of AI on the workforce is also outside this role.
- Transactional HR: Transactional HR sits with Global Business Services (GBS). Because HR and GBS share the same systems, you will work closely with GBS, but you will not own their roadmap.
- Security: Security is a key stakeholder. Concerns about LLM risks and data access (which data, accessed from where) currently slow down deployment. Working through these concerns together with Security is a core part of the job.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain the AI in HR roadmap and portfolio
- Translate the HR strategy into a clear AI agenda with priorities
- Build on the existing use case process to prioritize and scale the most valuable initiatives
- Make sure every initiative fits the agreed strategy, business case and target outcomes
- Track progress, risks, dependencies and key decisions across the portfolio
- Lead discussions and decisions on priorities, investments and value realization
- Embed AI into end-to-end HR processes, ways of working and capabilities
- Keep an end-to-end view of where AI can add value across the HR landscape, and spot gaps, overlaps and the capabilities needed to scale
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, legal and Responsible AI requirements
- Align HR, IT, Architecture, Data, Security, Legal, GBS and external vendors
- Lead change, communication, stakeholder engagement and adoption within the HR community, including AI literacy for HR
What we are looking for
- Proven program management in real transformations. This matters most. You have led substantial change programs that changed how an organization works, not transformations in name only. You know how to make process and organizational decisions at critical moments in a program.
- Experience in HR transformation. You are not a traditional HR business partner. You have worked on HR transformation and have a strong affinity with technology. This matters because HR data is sensitive and privacy is critical.
- AI literacy. You need a solid working knowledge of AI and some hands-on experience with it. Deep technical expertise is not required, because that sits with the architect. What you need is the ability to bring all the pieces together.
Skills
- Excellent communication, change and influencing skills
- Confident in technical conversations, functional reviews and alignment with senior stakeholders
- Structured, yet flexible enough to keep up with a fast-moving field
