Job Title: Senior HR Business Partner
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Contract: 6 Months Initial Contract
Working Pattern: Hybrid (40 hours per week)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior People Advisory Partner to join a dynamic global organization. This role will act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, driving people strategies that enable business growth, organizational effectiveness, and talent excellence.
The successful candidate will partner closely with leadership teams across multiple business functions, providing strategic HR guidance while leading key people initiatives, organizational transformations, and workforce planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders (Director level and above) to deliver a consistent, high-quality people experience and support the achievement of business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor on a wide range of topics including organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, compensation, performance management, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to design and implement people programs, policies, and initiatives that align with overall business strategy.
- Consult and coach leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational capability, and talent development.
- Lead and support large-scale organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, organizational design, transformation programs, mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities.
- Partner with leadership teams to ensure the right talent is in the right roles, driving effective hiring, promotion, and internal mobility decisions through competency-based frameworks.
- Use data, insights, and business acumen to influence strategic decision-making and improve organizational performance.
- Support the implementation of people roadmaps that enhance employee engagement, leadership capability, and business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and corporate HR policies while balancing business needs and employee experience.
- Build strong relationships across multiple business units and stakeholder groups to drive alignment and successful execution of HR strategies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner, People Partner, or People Advisory role within a complex, international organization.
- Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
- Strong expertise in HR policies, employment legislation, and people practices within the region of operation.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale organizational change, transformation, restructuring, or M&A-related people initiatives.
- Deep understanding of talent lifecycle management, workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating effectively across multiple business functions and global teams.
- Ability to deliver strategic solutions while maintaining a strong operational focus.
- Commercially minded with strong business acumen and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting technology, travel, e-commerce, insurance, fintech, or highly matrixed global organizations.
- Exposure to global HR programs involving reward, diversity and inclusion, leadership development, or organizational effectiveness.
- Experience working in multinational environments with geographically distributed teams.
