Contract: 12-month assignment

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior iOS Developer to join a cross-disciplinary team working on card functionality within a major banking application.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining native iOS features, refining requirements, resolving legacy code, improving accessibility, and implementing changes driven by external requirements and compliance. You will be the sole iOS developer within a cross-functional team , working closely with colleagues across disciplines.

The team works using SCRUM and DevOps principles , with a strong focus on autonomy, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain native iOS features using Swift .
• Work across UIKit and SwiftUI , including layouts and interface development.
• Refine requirements and proactively contribute to future functionality.
• Resolve and modernise legacy code, including Objective-C refactoring .
• Improve accessibility and ensure a high-quality user experience.
• Contribute to card-related functionality, including changes driven by external parties and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate effectively within a larger developer community and contribute to knowledge-sharing/Guild activities.
• Work independently while actively communicating and collaborating with the wider team.
• Follow Clean/VIP architecture principles and contribute to maintainable, scalable solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience .
• Strong, hands-on experience with Swift and native iOS development .
• Proven experience with UIKit and SwiftUI .
• Experience working within a larger developer community and collaborating across teams.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive and productive approach.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Practical experience with VIP/Clean Architecture .
• Knowledge of accessibility and interface design .
• Experience refactoring and maintaining Objective-C code.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern Swift Concurrency .
• Previous experience developing financial services or banking applications .
• Experience working in SCRUM/Agile and DevOps environments .
• Experience working on compliance-driven or highly regulated products.
